Fifth Assignment

.The character Addie, the mother, is the project of the book. I know she's a character because she obviously has a name. Her family decides to bury her in Mississippi, the book describes their journey through each characters point of view. If they didn't have this journey the book wouldn't be the same. Also i think part of the project is to show the environment that the family lives in, they give you clues on how they talk that they are from the south, with a country accent.

.The main conflict of my novel is the journey to Mississippi because everything that happens is on the way, there is character vs. nature because they lose the wagon in the river, character vs. other because each character is dealing with each one of there problems together, character vs. supernatural because the whole journey is for Addie and she is dead. But also it seems like there are flashbacks, there is a chapter where its called Addie. Its a little creepy because she is supposed to be dead, so that gives me the thought that there are flashbacks in the book.

.It contributes a lot to the book because it makes it more interesting. At first, you have no idea how Addie is and what kind of person she is. So the chapter Addie gave a whole new light in the understanding of the book. Plus the journey, each character has their own problems and its interesting to hear their point of views.

.Mississippi is a symbol of journey. It symbolizes struggle and hardship. I think the characters think they are doing something good, but in a way i think Addie doesn't accept it.
